Manny Lopez (b 1943 in Ysleta, Texas)
Formerly an Electronic Design Engineer, Manny began pursuing a serious study of painting in the Spring of 1976, seeking to realize a lifelong dream.
Manny states: “In my paintings I seek to express the sublime beauty that is in nature. I think my best work has been those paintings or drawings where the inspiration has led me to capture a little of the life that I think we all see before us, obvious yet elusive.”
Since 1986, Manny has been a member of the OAK Group, participating annually in Art Shows to Benefit numerous Conservation causes. He is the Director of Gallery 113, a non-profit cooperative gallery fostering local art. His work has been in exhibitions in California, Illinois, and Washington D.C.
