Karen Gruszka

I am drawn to paint nature’s peaceful places. It is here where I experience timelessness and joy. For me, painting is a meditation where I lose myself in the sunlight and shadows before me. Through intuition, feeling, and presence a sacred communion is taking place with the light and the land. I feel that after painting in a particular location, a part of that place comes away with me, while something of myself is left behind.

I am grateful for a painting life and for the support, encouragement and love that I receive from my family, painting friends and our community. It is an honor and an inspiration to work together with the Oak Group for the preservation of our natural world. –Karen Gruszka
